Important Booking Instructions

All robotics teams must first be officially registered for the Anchors Aweigh Robotics Cruise event through VEX Events before completing cruise booking steps.

This cruise booking page is for teams, coaches, families, chaperones, and supporters who are traveling as part of the Anchors Aweigh Robotics Cruise group aboard Wonder of the Seas.

The only payment needed at this stage is the cruise deposit per person.

The Correct Order

VEX First. Deposit Second. Group Transfer Third.

This order matters because the robotics event registration and cruise reservation are connected, but they are not the same step.

1

Register on VEX Events

Before making your cruise deposit, your team must be registered for the official Anchors Aweigh event on VEX Events.

This confirms your team is part of the competition side of the cruise and helps organizers plan for team count, field schedules, inspections, skills runs, and event operations.

2

Pay the Cruise Deposit

To secure your cabin, each person traveling must pay the required cruise deposit.

Only the deposit per person is required at this stage.

Final payments and remaining balances will follow the cruise line’s payment schedule.

3

Move Into the Group

After your deposit is made, your reservation will be switched into the official Anchors Aweigh Robotics Cruise group.

This helps with ship count, event coordination, group communication, and overall planning.

4

After You Pay Your Deposit

Final Cruise Payment Options After your reservation is connected to the group, travelers will be asked for payment information so the remaining cruise balance can be handled in one of two ways:

Option 1: Pay in Full You may pay the full remaining cruise balance before the final payment deadline.

Option 2: Flex Pay You may set up Flex Pay, allowing up to 10 scheduled payments before the final payment due date.

Royal Caribbean Final Payment Information Royal Caribbean states that final payment for 1 to 4 night cruise vacations is generally due at least 75 days before sailing. Group payment schedules may differ from individual bookings. Your exact final payment date will be provided by Sunrise Love Travel.

Royal Caribbean states that if a reservation was created through a travel advisor, guests may not be able to view or pay balances directly online and may need to contact the original booking agent to make payments. After your reservation is transferred into the Anchor's Aweigh group, Sunrise Love Travel will help guide the remaining payment process.

Important Reminder

Registration and Cruise Booking Are Two Separate Steps

Registering for the robotics event and booking the cruise are two separate steps.

Your team must register on VEX Events for the competition, and each traveler must also complete the cruise booking process.

The only payment needed at this stage is the cruise deposit per person.

Optional Protection

Optional Travel Insurance Through Royal Caribbean

During the booking process, travelers may be given the option to purchase travel insurance through Royal Caribbean.

This is important for families and teams to consider because plans can change. If the robotics event is cancelled and your family or team chooses to no longer go on the trip, Royal Caribbean’s travel protection may provide an option for future cruise credit, depending on the terms, timing, and coverage selected.

Travel insurance is optional, but strongly recommended for families who want added protection in case unexpected situations affect their plans.
